4.6 Million Trees and Counting

Trees are an invaluable natural resource. They beautify our neighborhoods, provide habitat for wildlife, and even help to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions.

Through the award-winning Apache Tree Grant Program, Apache has donated more than 4.6 million trees to nonprofits and governmental organizations across 17 states since we started the program in 2005. We donate trees to a wide variety of organizations, including cities, counties, schools, parks, universities, youth associations, wildlife refuges and community groups. In addition to neighborhood beautification and wildlife habitat preservation, groups often request trees to support a range of other conservation efforts such as reforestation in areas affected by natural disasters.

This year, Apache celebrated our annual Trees for Tots program in Midland, Texas, by planting one tree for each child birthed or adopted by an Apache employee the previous year. We hope to continue this tradition every year, planting more trees for the entire community to enjoy.
