Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer

MICHAEL S. BAHORICH, 56, is executive vice president and chief technology officer.  He was previously executive vice president – Exploration and Production Technology from 2000 to 2009, vice president – Exploration and Production Technology from 1999 to 2000, vice president – Exploration Technology from 1997 to 1999, and the company’s chief geophysicist in 1996 and 1997.

From 1981 until joining the Company, he held positions of increasing responsibility at Amoco Corporation in Denver, Colorado and Tulsa, Oklahoma.

A graduate of the University of Missouri at Columbia, he received his master’s degree in geophysics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute (VPI). Bahorich is a member of the board of trustees of the Houston Museum of Natural Science and serves on advisory boards at Stanford and Yale Universities. He holds eight patents.
