$1.05 billion transaction brings production of 19,000 equivalent barrels per day, drilling upside

Houston, April 12, 2010 – Apache Corporation said today that it has agreed to acquire Devon Energy Corporation’s oil and gas assets on the Gulf of Mexico Shelf for $1.05 billion. The assets had estimated net proved and probable reserves of 83 million barrels of oil equivalent at year-end 2009.
